You can also use the prelude cooler joint it attaches to the bigger outer threads for a cleaner install. I have one I am not using if anyone want it, just pay shipping.
I may have found a better oil cooler barb thingy... It's from a Prelude (H22A4) . I noticed it on Darton's Honda instructions for their sleeves. Had to try it out. It works!
If you can't see the pics, the part # is 11107-PK2-003. Also, there's a sealing ring (washer) for the above part with the part # 90401-PR4-000.
Advantage here over the S2000 oil joint is it prevents crud from getting onto the threads at the wider opening.
New part!

P.S. I will shrink the pics down at a later time.![]()
The Prelude does work if you don't have the hole on the side of the block if you do have the hole you can reuse all of your k20a2/z1 stuff (only on k24a2) or use the s2k joint. So does the prelude work or not? What hole has to be on the side of the block?
If you have that hole you can reuse the parts off of the K20a2. Look at the back of your k20z1 and you will notice a joint pipe bolted in there, just remove it and bolt it on to the k24a2 and you are good to go. If you have that hole but don't have the bolt hole then use the S2k joint. If that hole is non existant on your block you can use the prelude joint.I believe this is the hole that everyone is talking about. This is on a K24a2 BTW.

Is an oil cooler even necessary on the k24a2? There is a nut already blocking off this area on my engine block.
If you use the pump and housing off of a k20a2 it will work fine but like scourge said if you use the k24a2 pump housing with a k20a2 pump it will not work.I read this whole thread but I might have missed it. Will a K20A2 water pump fit properly to a K24A2 water passage?
