Hi, Iam just started my K24/K20 with 410cc rdx injectors.
The car is running pretty lean above vtec.
Is it enough to run the original Acura Integra type R -98 Fuel pump or do I need an upgrade?
Thanks

KPro, yes.

Oh, I measured the pressure, 36 psi, Ive raised it to 55 and now it seems to run great :)

But still, how much is the oem pump good for?

The OEM unit is only 90lph and craps out around 220whp depending on age/mileage and where it was manufacutred at. I would NEVER risk an OEM pump in a K-swapped car...the Walbro 255lph is under $100 and IMO is the best cheapest form of insurance you can get for your engine.

As others have said, get the walbro. However the walbro 190lph is good enough and won't make as much noise as the 255lph. Also, there is the 190lph hp, 190lph, 255lph hp and 255lph.

The *HP* is "high performance" So it is able to hold higher pressures better at higher flow rates. Given how high we run fuel pressure, you want the hp model.

Most units are 10-15 years old, This is why I said it how I said it...do you really want to trust a 10+ year old 90lph Fuel pump with a $3000+ engine? I wouldn't.

I've tuned a k swapped DC2 and it put down 270whp or so. Still has the OEM pump.

In fact I've tuned several 220whp+ cars that still had their OEM pumps.
well looks like those cars are runing on sure luck their pump will be going on sooner or later you can bet on that

its not luck, if you read the link, it says the stock pump can handle from 300-350 depending on fuel press. why do people believe everything they read in magazines:rolleyes:
