ive been hearing people say they can get a k20 for $3500, but the cheapest ive seen it for is $6200. Can you really get it for that cheap or are they lieing.
how much for a complete k20

You can get a k20a2 from a RSX type S for around $3500.. No way in hell a k20a for that much unless, you import it yourself and if you are lucky because these motors are not the easiest to find in Japan.
The k20a2 Type S motor is similar to the K20a. It doesn;t have LSD tranny ans some internals are different ad well as the intake and throttle body. If you were to buy a type S motor and "make it" a type R of course you would spent more than the $2000 difference.
In my opinion, there are enough products out there to make a k20a2 strong without converting it to the type R configuration.
Later on, you can always add the LSD to the tranny ( $850 part)

would the k20 del sol be just as fast as the k20 hatch.

the k20 into a del sol is what i want to do, because i would be kind of the under dog, and if i did it i would go all motor.

even my hatch is lighter than the "sol"
