i dont know what was confusing about that but...ok...thanks alot for the others that helped![]()
confused.
I think he was confused about the ^^^ I know I am. "take a 5 lug and making it 5" ???does anyone know how to make or even heard of fabricating there own type r suspension meaning taking a 5 lug and making it 5...and or does any1 know if the prelude has the same dimensions???
Yup. i do that to my old EF when i put the 5lug on it :up:i would say to search honda-tech. theres people who have done it by using certain wheel bearings mated to a particular hub and knuckle. worth the hassle? maybe not unless you got tons of spare parts around.
Sup Carlos this is Joe with the em1,hows the hatch???lol, this is just to say you have five lug with out spending five lug money. its not done all the time because doing it this way only lets you use the 5x1.14 wheels. but doing it this way doesnt give you typeR stopping abilitty. if you want some thing like this done its easy press out your hubs, have them redrilled in a 5x1.14 patter as well as your rotor to match and your done. five lug wheels with out five lug money or stopping power.
rsx/ep3 rears mount the ebrake on the bottom of the assembly, so you have have to swap the calipers from left to right to address the e-brake which makes your bleeder valve points down, so more work to bleed. Otherwise you lose your e-brake. Simpler to just get ITR rear calipers. Bolts right up to the regular 4-lug rta.also the RSX type s rear calipers are the same as Type R as well so you can put it all together for alot less than the conversion you just need to research and be patient.
The Usdm Itrs hubs are 32mm and the Crvs Hub are 36mm.Also the thread is here that I posted before. The fronts are actually rather easy, the front hub assembly from the 97-01CRV is the exact same thing as the USDM Type R, so go to your junk yard and get those and your half way there, the tricky part will be the rears, there is a DIY on Honda-tech that tells you how to use your 4 lug rear arms with the 5 lug hubs, bearings, and a mazda something nut to hold it all together, also the RSX type s rear calipers are the same as Type R as well so you can put it all together for alot less than the conversion you just need to research and be patient.
