ok, I've done lots and lots of reading on this site, and honda-tech.com for some good info on the K series swaps, and I have to say that the sticky's on the top are AWSOME  for the creator of those.

so now i've searched the site, and I am looking for some info on how much this is going to actually cost me. I can't find set figures anywhere, and after finding a thread where someone is selling a2's for 3300 shipped, i mea, that brought the cost of the build down quite a bit (from the 5,600 hmotorsonline charges)

so basically, what did it cost you to get a K20a2 into your 92+ eg hatch?

1. Bone stock
2. Basic bolt on's i/h/e
3. Basic bolt ons + Ktuned
4. Who did your swap and where

Thank you for your time in reading my post, I hope to join you all one day in the world of "K"

First off welcome. The cost of parts and what depends on what your preferences are. What motor you want if its a type s or R, whatever. If you want to keep it stock. Suspension costs will vary, depending on what you're going to be doing with the car. Wheels/tires, all depends on preference.

Intakes could come from AEM or even ebay. A header could cost your 1000 bucks or 350 bucks. All depends on how crazy you want to go.

Most of the people here do the swap themselves.

Good luck.

I can tell you so far my swap for a TSX k24a2 in an EK has cost me about 6000. Im not quite done yet so i have a few things yet to get and im sure multiple misc items that i will find out i need while actually doing the swap will add up to about 7000 total. I got some good deals on some items but i know i got ripped on a couple others. The tsx swap tends to be a bit more expensive due to a few extra k20 parts you have to still get extra at this point, but after seeing some of the number that people are putting up on this site with it (i.e. this thread: http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2771) it is well worth the money..especially to be on the cutting edge of honda performance. K series is the new generation! I would say expect no less than net of 6000-9000 to get it in and completed, depending on what deals you get and what performance extras you invest in. K series is definatly the way to go though...good luck with your swap!
