Which headers are you guys useing? I've heard TSX headers work but hang low.

Hope this helps. DTR Fab and Truerace are both really nice looking headers with dyno proven gains.

We run the comptech TSX and have no ground clearance problems.

TRUE RACE has a really nice header.

is it safe to assume that the tsx header will work for both EG and EK platforms, but it just hangs lower on the EK?

We had the TSX in both EG and EK chassis and have had no problems. We also have flanges available for making custom mid pipes.

The TSX header was $525.00 and the DC sports goes for $395.00.

I will see if i can get some pics of both setups.

The True race header is aorund $1100.
Prototype around $1600
Protech fab has a couple options... the NON stainless steel one is around $700.

In my opinion, the TSX headers (dc sports, comptech, stock TSX) looks restrictive.

Look at the protech fab header and compare that to the TSX one above

Just seems to me that the motor exhales better.

If I am going to spent $$$ to get that motor in an EG, I might as well get a decent header that will not hold me back when it is time to add more HP.

I will get Dyno charts with the Comptech header. We ran 106mph traps with this header as well.

stay tuned for hytech (adjustable) header dynos in a towards the end of the year. header has already been finished - I am buying (approx $1300) from a 3rd party unused :wink: to be used with a jdm k20a type r swap

believe it or not - its 2.125" :shock:

John @ hytech is going to make me a new collector with a flange so I can bolt up an exhaust or maybe even a hyflow cat...he insists that the new collector should be the same size...Although I'd like to get 2 made (one 2.125" & one 2.5") to test the two

the ability of a header to make power comes from many different factors...size of the collector is one of them, but must work in conjuction with all the other factors. John says he tested the header on a "venturi" (don't exactly know what one is - but sounds good ) & when he increased the size of the collector torque dropped. This is all "hearsay" - I am dyning to get this swap completed & dyno'd to find out - the suspense is killing me

anyone know of a reputable shop in NY to install & dyno tune w/kpro?
