Happy to be here thanks to an insurance payout

TL;DR bought a Miata, got rear-ended by an Altima, and their insurance payed enough to cover most of a kswap. Due to the unusual yet extremely fortunate circumstances I am now here trying to learn the platform a bit better. I am also perpetually repairing my daily 1999 Saab 9-3 and 1997 Mazda B2300, for better or worse.

Any tips for refreshing a JDM K24A2 with a claimed "60k" miles? It came off of an Acura TSX somewhere between 2004-2008 and has the RBB head. So far I've replaced the main seals but that's all for now. Also hello!

Welcome!

Small non-relevant detail if it's a k24a2 it's not JDM.

Also there are two variants of the k24a2, one from the 04-06 tsx and another from the 06-08 tsx, both RBB head but the newer one is RBB-3 (last revision if I'm not mistaken)

Some more info, Technical Information 06 TSX Changes

What plans do you have for that engine?
AH thanks, I forgot about that detail. The Ebay listing I purchased it from did list it as K24A.

My plan is to swap it into a 2001 NB Miata, so besides the seals I've also replaced the oil pump with a K20 style and installed a 50 degree VTC gear. I also switched the water pump housing & alternator with the USDM versions, and have an EP3 pulley at the top where the PS pump used to be.

Really the goal is to get it to be reliable, the only power modification I'm after at the moment is the VTC gear, the Kpower intake manifold and 3" exhaust. I would be very happy to see ~225hp from this engine and not have any leaks!
