K20/K24 is the best set up for N/A. If your goal is 260-270whp. With the K20a2 is a bit hardy to get 260whp but with K20/24 is alot easier.

so do you think its better to just get a k24 tsx motor and just buy a k20 head. i just dont know where to start. or should i just buy a block and just build it from there.

If I was to start my set-up over ( which I have a k20a2 in my Ek hatch ) I would just buy the k24 block and then put a type s head on, type s tranny. And while the block is out you can upgrade piston and rod to no less then 12.5.1 C/R. If your goal is to make 260-270whp N/A set up. Take your time do it right...so you don't have no regret later.

Your best bet is to look around for just a K24 bottom end if you plan on building something first. Unless you find a cheap deal on a complete k24 long block (to get the extra little parts you'll need) I would just look around for a k24 block and crank or complete short block. You can find them cheaper than long blocks and having to buy parts like timing chain, tensioner, cover, and guides are much less than the difference, since you want a k20a2,z1 or z3 anyways.
