Im running one right now without one, but i heard that it can cause problems when driving. Just wanted to hear who here is running one and why, or who here is not running one and why also. LOL

No, it's because I'm a laaaaazy man!!!

Just don't let your car stall and you can still stop... :D

Honestly, you should really use a check valve there. It's not very safe without one. I believe it also messes with your idle a bit without one... I will be adding one shortly...

If you don't use a check valve then when you've been accelerating hard then brake vacuum decreases. As you apply the brakes there is less vacuum to assist in braking. You also get an inconsistant feel and sometimes will need more pressure to get the same braking results.

Typically as soon as you let off the throttle to brake the vacuum quickly builds in the booster, but it could potentially be a problem in a panic situation if you were accelerating hard and then had to do an emergency stop.

It is aggravating when you don't have one...I used a cheapo PCV valve that would fit the hose. I think it was less than $5. I would have gotten an OEM, but it is built into the line for an EK, so I didn't bother figuring out if any models had one that was not part of the line.

That is the only FRAM part in my car. And it still works fine after 3+ years.
