Ok well im a ford guy at heart but ive always been interested in building a honda. Most of my friends have hondas. I want to have a nice street car that is capable of 11s like my mustang is. I will be putting more into the show and street on this car than i did with my mustang. also this car will be my daily driver and a slow project once it gets started. I plan on doing the brian crower 2.6 stroker k20a2 head and either a turbo or rotrex tuned with the kpro. Also want this car as an all around car that i can road race when i want to so i want a broad torque band. I live in high elevation. Is this going to be possible?

go with the stock 99mm k24 crank. you will have a better Rod / Stroke Ratio & plenty of torque allmotor it is not a V8. Honda engines are high revving engines their heads flow beautifully. a well done k24 can move any honda chassis NA. if you turbo it or supercharge it you will have huge traction issues that will require lot's of time setting the suspension & you will eat those tires road racing it faster.
remember it is a front wheel drive car the front tires gotta put the power to the ground, steer the car and do most of the braking.

my personal opinion: your best option for force induction for road racing may be the rotrex supercharger the power is more linear & more predictable but try it allmotor first see how you like it. put a stock tsx block or to give you some ideas built a 11.1:1 or so k24 block with a k20 head with H-beams rods RBC manifold, nikos this site admin can put that together for you & a custom ASP k24 header that combo can deliver a good powerband all motor & later be rotrex supercharged in the future. maybe some custom rates pic suspension 8k front 10k rear.

ps: plz don't rice it out keep the car looking stock as possible :silly:

K24 with the rotorex and a nice set of SC cams would be really nice all around performance setup...

I still have my mustang too. I will never get totally away from the american muscle. Yeah im impressed with the technology in the rotrex chargers. It will be awhile before im able to even buy the car but i want to do all the research to make sure everything im looking for is possible first anyways. Thanks for the help.

its an 88. Ive looked into it several times but never have decided in stone as to what im going to do. Its a fast fun street car for now but i had plans on building a 347 turboed. that would easily yeild 700 hp but another 14gs minimum to do that is whats held me up so far.

Ive seen the older 5.0 blocks crack straight down middle under lower intake at above 550whp :( a new mod motor would be a good swap. but might be alittle more than you want to tackle. A k in a eg should get u in the 12s stock.

Spray the stang with big sticky tires ;) Cheaper hehe. That's just my corvette side talking :p. Depends what you're looking for turbo, sc or N/A. What's the budget on the build. I wouldn't mind doing a stock sleeves, forged piston/rods, turbo kit 400-450whp easily all day completely reliable.

The stang has a 150 shot now and runs high 11s. im starting off building this rsx with looks and sound first with enough power to be fun but nothing over kill. around 350-400 horse range with a broad tourqe band is my goal. later on down the road i would love to build a wicked honda but i will do it in a lighter chassis than the rsx.
