During the last round of the 2009/2010 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship, Mohamed Saleh from Alsham Garage ran a 10.79 @ 128 making this the first time anyone ran 10's in the Middle East with a N/A Honda.

Not a clear video unfortunatly, but clearly shows the 10.79 ET and Trap speed. Keep in mind it is in KM/H.

This is the final championship winning run:

Next season starts in October, wish Mohamed the best and lower ET's!!!!

Special thanks to all the guys who put time and effort into this and a VERY VERY big thanks to:up:Drag Cartel :up:for making the killer cams we run, and to Innes Performance Group IPG for supplying parts and amazing customer service.

Congrats
Do you race in the UAE as well?
No unfortunatly the UAE drag scene is not as well developed as Bahrain and is just slowly starting to get properly organized. Classes over there so far are limited to Dragsters, Promods and V8's, the import scene is not so active.

The Bahrain Drag Championship has 13 classes and so everyone has a class to compete in. The class we race in is called Street 4/6 FWD which is basically street 4 and 6 cylinder fwd cars. Weight reduction can be done though glass windows, interior trim and dash, origional body work except for hood and trunk which maybe lightweight. Engines have to be from the same manufaturer and no dog or seq transmissions.

Very true! The weather was no different from what you described during the final round. ET's usually drop 1 to 2 tenths between summer and winter here.

Updating for the original poster. Since this post we had the summer break over here. 5th of October was the first round of the season and the car ran consistent 10.7's. There was nothing changed on the setup at all from last season. The next race is Nov 10th so will keep you guys posted :)
