im going with a 4 inch down pipe on my turbo set up but i have 3 inch piping... is that 2 small or would i be ok with that

I would recomend a 4" exhaust if you have the 4" dp.

Let me just put it this way............

Going from a larger diameter pipe to a smaller one will create a significant restriction in flow. The reason people go with a 4" down pipe is to really increase the flow.

Why go with a downpipe that large if you plan on choking it with a smaller diameter piping??
