my setup:

98 EK
'05 K20z1 full swap + harness
Hybrid pnp harness
05-06 kpro'd ecu + conv. harness
e1 grounded as per itr instructions.
(going by the '05 VSS write up sticky'd above)
no wires have been modded or repined as per the thread.
it should start minus having speedo/tach

ill try my best to remember how the events happened.

on initial start up, after a bunch of cranks it fired up for a breif few seconds and died.

i checked my psi and adjusted it properly (wasnt really on point before)
still nothing cranks over and over just no fire up.

thinking it was my charge harness connection i replaced it with a inline 80amp fuse.
now after a few cranks it blows the 80amp

i was told to check for a bad power to ground, i searched and havent found anything out of norm. ( any systematic way to check for this? )

pulled out my plugs and they look like this...fouled? havent really examined plugs in a while to remember.



i've been researching trying different things for the past two weeks no luck!
any help or suggestions would be appreciated! this makes me :(

map sensor connection seems fine, the car fired up briefly before so i should have spark...

id check again but ever since i put the inline fuse between the batt and starter it blows when i crank it.

hm...i followed the charging harness instructions seen on a few threads but sounds like you might be right...im going to find a 100-150a fuse or just forget it all together.

what do you guys think about the plugs, fouled?

im thinking bad gas a fouled plugs right now.

Touchdown, it was bad gas.

drained it and put some fresh gas in after a few cranks fired right up :dance:



engine and everything runs fine with the harness untouched, ill repin later for the speedo, tach, etc to function.
