Has anyone found a way to plug the hole in the actual Exhaust Port? I'm porting my Tsx head and noticed I have a EGR hole in the port, Would the flow gains be miniscule if it was plugged? Is it worth it? What about high temp copper Permatex? JB WELD? Ideas?

I'm not talking about the external block off plates lol when you look inside number #4 exhaust port you'll see a hole "inside" the actual port that the exhaust gas flows across, since my head is dissembled while I was porting & reshaping the exhaust port I noticed the hole, I'm thinking about plugging it from inside the actual exhaust port to gain better flow characteristics, possibly more CFM.

Ah, such a junction like the F20C1 engine has. I was really surprised to see a semi-internal EGR line in a high performance engine head like the 9000 rpm revving OE F20C1 is.

We've tested the difference on the flow bench, which is neglectable at 28" WC (ex port with vs ex port without). I am not saying it can be seen as neglectable at a running engine. But the effect, once the external port outlet is closed by a plug seems to be small as only a few take up the effort to weld it. Investing in a well designed header or similar makes more sense from my perspective.
