yes...Thats like asking is it a good idea to wear your seatbelt while your driving.. I hope Kommonsense doesn't see this thread
Ok... I don't know how to take that

I just bought a rollbar for my car. haven't put it in yet though... 2 things drove me to it.

1 - Met a young kid (early 20's) at a track weekend (I'm 33 yrs old). He had trouble turning his head because of a neck injury from someone losing it an t-boning him on track.

2 - Watched a track vid of a guy around VIR. Watching him, he was pretty quick. Hit a bad patch of track and lost control almost instantly and slid straight off into the tirewall. He has an ISAAC's device and was ok.

These 2 things got me on the safety kick. I can't use a HNR (Head & Neck Restraint) without a harness. I need a proper seat and at least a rollbar to get a harness.

So I'm looking at seat options now. Already ordered The budget Isaac Link ($99 intro price until March 1st).

So yeah... If you plan on doing this, you really need to look into safety. 1 incident could leave you with pain an difficulty for the rest of your life.

Simple question is this... Regardless of what is "required"... Do you realize just how quickly things can go wrong on track? How much is your neck worth to you? And if you break it, do you have a spare neck sitting around?

If you think a helmet alone is enough to keep you safe, then you have your answer.

Kommon any more info on this? Not sure exactly what you are reffering to here? I am guessing it is a Hans type neck restraint device?

Incredibly simple device that goes a long way towards safety. I really wouldn't want a hans. It has too many issues, but its better than nothing thats for sure. Just there are more options out there. I intend to use the isaacs in an upcoming lemons event (doing cmp in april with some buddies). However when my wallet recovers, I plan to get a defender and keep the isaac link for instructors or friends riding shotgun on track.
