does ur car do this???

heres what my car does. if i start the car then turn it off without taking the key out of the ignition and try to start it again it turns over but dosent want to start. but if i do take the key out of the ignition it starts no problem. is this normal? or is this some kind of rsx thing? other then that everything is fine,besides a cel for not having a second 02 sensor. car is 01 civic, stock type s ecu,rsx ignition system with rsx key,motor is stock k20a2.

just went outside and played with my car and and found out that i dont have to take the key out of the ignition just have to turn it all the way back 2 clicks.

It does happen to my 2002 Civic LX when I try to restart it really fast the 2nd time. I read that it can take some time for the ecu to read the coded key.
Might not be your case.

Try to wait like 10 sec before restart it and post result

i think that might be it..10 seconds does nothing gotta turn back 2 clicks

i had never heard of this before on a rsx before ive turned the car off, had it in accessory then started it just fine

yes green key is flashing till i turn it all the way off like its not reading the key till it turns back 2 clicks.

its your key. might be getting weak. do you happen to have another key for the key? if not have one made.

im using an rsx key for now, but i have my stock keys so when i get kpro i will switch back to my keys.
