Hello guys, I'm from the middle east, and usually we come to find some JDM engines at our yards, so i'v found this one

(pictures were ultra huge so i linked them)

notice the valve cover, and the use of a base model CRV manifold

we were told this engine came from Canada of of a Honda CRV...(although it had a JDM code)

we had to make sure if this was another one of the JDM Type-S Integra engines... so we had to let them show us the rocker assembley... and to our surprise...

RBC 6707-1259 (i thought RBC were used on type-s's and type-r's or something)

what does that conclude to you??? my idea of this engine until now is that it's the JDM equivelent of a USDM K20A3...

I came across one of these back in late 04. Its pretty much a k20a3
hmmm... K20A engines are not the same... you did confirm it were not a type-s/type-r??? did you check the whole code?

i think this is a csx engine

I dont know but I live in canada, and in the jdm shop we have, they do sell BASE Integra(RSX) engine from japan.
They are K20A engine, but not the type R.

I think this might be your case.

About half of the CRV engines were made in Japan. That is indeed not a K24A1 mani, they use the same plastic mani as the base RSX, that looks like the element/TSX/Accord style of K24mani.

That pic of the VTC gear simply means it is a 50 degree advance gear, no surprise there.

ah the JDM Integra base engine :)

this one i was hoping to locate in this desert hahaha, but unfortuntley this isn't my case since the K20A base gets a special rocker assembley not shared with any other K-Series... so you would know

check this link: http://www.xproductionz.com/uploads/k20chart.jpg

thanks
