The original ecu and keys that came with the k series motor in order to make things work or is that some stupid myth people are tossing around? I imagine there is a way around it if it were true.

If you run a k-pro system, then you won't need the ecu or keys. If you have an ecu though, it will make the price of the k-pro a lil cheaper.

you do need the keys and ecu because of the immobilizer. I have an rsx

k-pro doesn't have the immobilizer so you won't need keys and ignition like the rsx owner stated. Having an ecu to provide is all you need to get the kpro...that or if you have a jdm ecu the immobilizer can be bypassed quite easily.
