The stamp under the throttle body on block should say K20a.
On belt side there should be a sku # that also says K20a.
Vtec solenoid on type r does not have a pressure switch beside solenoid on top unlike Type s and possibly others.

I vtec cover just says I VTEC and under is DOHC ONLY!
That's all I can think of immediately.
