I ran a welded differential in my b16 tranny on my Bseries..Is it possible to weld the diff on my kseries swap????I run an 03 type S..
Yes you can...
I'll rather have a LSD over Welded Diff anyday....

Welding a Diff is very Dangerous for daily or race application...
Could you explain the dangerous part....thnx

1) It can produce severe over steer in any situation.
2) Tight turns and Parallel parking is really hard on the drivetrain and the tires will be squeal..

And one last thing...

Let's just say that you are going straight and your right Axle breaks, what do you thing the car is going to do...?
Go straight or poll you all the way to the left right into wall..?

Don't take your two years of nothing happening to you...Take that as luck

Definately go with Quaife..
I have run on welded Diff's before..good for straight line, but still not safe.
Turning is horrible..if you have a clutch with extreme clamp load, and let go too quick in a turn, you will snap an axle(or two).Tires chirp in turns, which can cause premature tire wear etc..

Quaife is the way to go....
is quaife really that much better than stock LSD? I was planning on replacing the stock LSD with quaife but someone told me its a waste of $$ to do that
