I own a 89 honda crx si and know very little about the k20a swap. I here it can be done but just dont what i will need . if any of you have done this swap can you please walk me threw the steps and what i might need, and also how much it might run. i would like to start by getting things 1 by one. I plan on getting a block first and is it possable to run a obd1 harness . thank you for any help

We just finished designing our K-series swap kit for the 4th gen Civic/CRX and will most likely do an install into our mule in the next two to three weeks. We will need to drive the car around for a week to get the feel of the swap and if all goes well, we will begin production.

At that time, I'll put together a little install article as I did for the EK swap. It will cover the basics and give you the info you need. Just to give you some advanced notice, it isn't necessary to run an OBD1 harness. the engine won't run on OBD1 electronics. Also the engine will come up above the hood, to put it below means ablolutely no ground clearance.

i have a fiberglass front end. can i lower so that i wouldnt have to cut a hole in it? this want matter in a race car with the ground clearance issues will it?
You should be able to lower the engine so that it works. The problem I see is the axle angle. If you lower the engine to get clearance for the hood then the axles angle upwards significqantly. If you have a lowered car, it combines with the slight forward angle to be a little excessive. This is all guessing though, since I don't know haw your front end fits.
