i'm still datalogging and curing at part throttle and stuff...

I had to do the valve adjustment 3 times...

seems works best with minimal clatter at 5-7, others just make the knocks go incridibly high... i'm using 10-30 oil, not 5-30.... but at 5-7 she's solid... a couple knocks are generated with a sudden rev from idle.. around the 1200rpm range...

my datalogs are too long.. but i'll aquire a short one and post it.. but running my car complete interior, with 18" at 215 wide 35 series full interior leather etc... alone in car with half tank...

when i ran the quarter mile I save a log and would do 70mph to 95mph in 6.369 seconds, when i got the car tuned for 214whp and 181 torque, would do 70mph to 95mph in 5.307 seconds..and with just cams, with a TSX vtc maximum advance 25 degree's .. ou guys ready ??? HAHAHA

i can do 70mph to 95mph in 4.95 seconds... now guys that have a kpro do a run, i have to do that run because i have the BASE RSX tranny with a 4.3 final drive (5 speed) and also it's a 3rd gear pull.... but the gains show that with my 16 lightweight rota's shave a bit of weight and go at the track this is a 12 second car no if's....

i can spin my 18's more than the video some of you may have seen :)

but one thing i noticed a 25+ vtc would be suggested.... from 0 vtc to 15vtc the car pulled way more on the low cam car would die on vtc.. but at 25 vtc day and night difference... can't wait to test out 40.. :)

so far i'm impressed... ignition has been retarted 5 degree's from my previous map... to ensure no issues until i do all part throttle and top end runs.. and go from there... may have to add theflon to the knock sensor and see if it clears some knocks... suggestions and opinions welcomed...

a K20a.org first ! HAAHHAA

if schedule clears and i have time i may strap it on the dyno this weekend :)

I'm glad to see the project is coming along nicely...

Can't wait to see what it dyno's. Is this your first real big mod? what else is done to the car?

i'll post the graph soon enough.

tunning is essential for these cams on the dyno. I spend alot of time perfecting part throttle tunning for daily driving so I simply wanted to know just how id' do on the first baseline pass and it was incredible... Other cars had to be tuned so I only had time for 3 runs on my car.. i'm still trying to figure out the ignition issues between 1500-3000 which i find odd. (on part throttle)

i'll post the graph when it's tuned to the max, then i'll concentrate on the itb tunning.

If I am not mistaken hondata suggested the cams be adjusted no more than 45 degrees so u might want to try that also to see your results...very good info by the way....

Sweet, may I ask why you decided to go with an a3 base 5 spd w/ 4.389 Final Drive Trans? Curious because I have the same one.

Any updates?

^^ he can't find a 6 speed anywhere close to him... and he doesn't wanna pay for shipping a tranny...
