Crower 63452-2 cams?

So someone mentioned that for a k24 frank and the crower 63452-2 cams you had to put a blocking pin into the VTC actuator, I have never seen anyone do that but I figured it would be worth the bother to ask instead of bending valves due to not knowing, thanks in advance guys.
