Well, we made some pulls today but I'm having an issue with fuel. Losing fuel pressure like crazy the moment vtec hits. My stock HX fuel pump isn't going to cut it lol. The 650cc injectors are at 78% duty cycle as well :frage: we didn't pull past 8000rpm but managed 267whp/208tq The torque figure is looking good but power is down up top for sure. Gonna be back at it after some upgrades.

man i'm anxious to see what this thing pulls out of it at 100%!

you thinking of stepping up to some bigger injectors? i snagged 850's just to be safe. maybe you could go that route too after the fuel pump?

I thought about it, but they seem to be alright for my setup, so i'll leave them in there unless an issue comes up. I really want to see how it does too, it feels crazy nice right now with all the torque.
650's should be plenty big. he just needs a pump that can supply the volume.
Yeah, I knocked that out today, threw in an Aeromotive 340lph fuel pump, and I just need to wire in a relay for it and I should be good to go

a little backtrack update,

finished up the exhaust piping


fixed my 3.5" velocity stack






strapped down








First 3 pulls of the day (3rd gear pulls) compared to the 246whp pull made with my stock TSX setup with open ram header. A ton more power everywhere, as expected.


Had to kill the pulls after maxing out the ability of me STOCK 1997 hx fuel pump (yes I know I should have upgraded it long ago, but i like to test things) After vtec at 4500rpm or so, fuel pressure fell like a rock. The new torque figure though is freaking awesome.


Upgraded the fuel pump to an Aeromotive 340lph, and i'll be back on the dyno whenever I can. In the meantime, i'll be working on making this work with my 80mm TB. Not really concerned with performance, just wanted a short ram solution to keep the intake in the bay further away from dirt and what not to protect my investment, and something that's shiny....because I obviously like shiny things.


So much happier with this bucket seat as well. Feels much better than the buddy club racing spec I had

That torque tho on a stock fuel pump... Earlier I had guessed 290+ whp, now I'm gonna add 290+whp and 230+tq as my guesstimate :shades:

oh snap! ARC induction box! man those things are gorgeous. since you're all about testing things as well that would be a good back to back test with the 3.5 intake vs the ARC, obviously we know which will make more, but it'd be nice to know just how much exactly. good stuff as always though buddy! :up:

Yeah man, I was shocked to see that torque. It's really fun to drive. Can't wait to get back on the rollers for a re-tune.

I'm going to see if I can get a couple of pulls of each after i get the ARC piping fabbed up. Just haven't spent any money towards it just yet.

Nice job on the new video man. I like how you sued the GoPro on a car almost like a rig. Sick stuff!

Nothing exciting going on, just me taking pics of the same old stuff as usual. Did my oil changes and i've been driving it daily still instead of using the TL lol. I can't leave this thing alone.





I have the muffler using just one hanger at the muffler section because my second vband was lent to another car that needed it asap at the moment, so once I get around to installing the vband at pipe section that goes over the LCA, i'll get the muffler mounted on both sides and properly centered.

swapped out waternecks for this build...very small cosmetic design change on the neck, and i switched the water outlet to the straight version to help with fitment of the ARC box. Also staying to form lol, I polished the waterneck face.

and since I put in the new bucket, i had to get new hardware to go with it. I threw in my brand new oem floor mats....I desperately need to get a new set of carpet!

Thanks man. It might be awhile before I get the intake done...got some financial things to knock out and I do want to do a simple back to back between my current CAI and the short ram setup with the ARC just to see how much and where the box holds it back

How do you like the k600 cam so far?
I'm very very happy with these cams. I have a really mild setup and these cams put in work. TONS of midrange power and they idle like stock. Also, since I left myself plenty of areas to improve upon with my head, I know there's a lot more power to be gained from these cams especially with my results being so good with a stock fuel pump that couldn't keep up. Over 200tq before 5k rpms had me satisfied with my purchase.
