Really contemplating getting those IPS-k2 cams.. I know a few here are runinng type-r cams, and even toda n2... I want to wait fro skunk2 but dont know when if they're droppin anytime soon.. IPS-k2 sound real good.. What cams is everyone else leaning towards too

No, you can't.. It is not the same head.

Also the crower 2 3/4 look like good cams for all motor.

Skunk2 is coming out with a stage 2 cam soon... Well there supposed to!!But If not Im leaning towards IPS cams...

i really want to wait for the skunk 2 cams but i havent heard anything about a release date what so ever. I have the money now for crower cams 2/3 or the ips but still undecided what my next move will be. maybe i might hold off till summer and fix up my hatch a lil

on toda spec-a cams, don't you need their reflash ECU and the Toda Valve Springs?

and on another question, do Skunk2's cams still allow VTC?

yes, you'd need an ECU retune of some sort. There is a Spec-A reflash still available thru Toda/Hondata, or you could custom tune with K-Pro, starting with either the Toda base calibration or the ITR+CAI+RH calibration.

the Toda valve springs are recommended if you want to rev to 9K. as a cheaper alternative you could possibly also use the OEM spring combo that IPS is using, and keep the redline around 8600-8700; but this hasn't been tested.

While we haven't certified the spring combo for use with toda cams, the max safe limit would most likely be higher due to milder profiles.
