Really contemplating getting those IPS-k2 cams.. I know a few here are runinng type-r cams, and even toda n2... I want to wait fro skunk2 but dont know when if they're droppin anytime soon.. IPS-k2 sound real good.. What cams is everyone else leaning towards too


Specifications:
Intake - duration (lift)

low speed lobe: 253 (9.25mm)
high speed lobe: 302 (13.28mm)


Exhaust - duration (lift)
low speed lobe: 246 (8.10mm)
high speed lobe: 295 (11.84mm)

running TODA Spec-A, love how my RSX drives with them but I may upgrade to IPS-K2... anybody want a good deal on used cams?

i really want to wait for the skunk 2 cams but i havent heard anything about a release date what so ever. I have the money now for crower cams 2/3 or the ips but still undecided what my next move will be. maybe i might hold off till summer and fix up my hatch a lil

on toda spec-a cams, don't you need their reflash ECU and the Toda Valve Springs?

and on another question, do Skunk2's cams still allow VTC?

yes, you'd need an ECU retune of some sort. There is a Spec-A reflash still available thru Toda/Hondata, or you could custom tune with K-Pro, starting with either the Toda base calibration or the ITR+CAI+RH calibration.

the Toda valve springs are recommended if you want to rev to 9K. as a cheaper alternative you could possibly also use the OEM spring combo that IPS is using, and keep the redline around 8600-8700; but this hasn't been tested.

K-pro
AEM V2
DCRH
APexi WS2
ACT extreme street clutch and pressure plate
Type R LSD
