i know man, i really don't want to see it happen. i might be down for a trade for a pair of somewhat new jetski's. depending on how new, year, model, brand, etc. its not for me its mainly for my dad since he owns this hatch now lol.

Do you care to explain how you'll make 16k by parting this out? And if you sell it complete, I doubt anyone is about to give you 16k

I know its nothing personal, but if you were to rebuild this car w/ the same parts it would probably cost double the amount i'm asking for. Also its a PITA to take it apart, thats one reason why i don't wanna part it out. If i part it out Im going to have to take the chance of probably not making 16k b/c people are gonna bargain w/ me. i'm willing to take out the motor and turbo setup and sell the shell first and slowly part out the rest of the stuff later. I have a few weeks left until spring semester starts so i might have to yank out the motor and turbo setup before then. but i've also had people telling me that they want my shell or turbo kit but no one is serious about it.This is a really proper setup to say the least. I know you're trying to make the most out of this, but here's the thing...see when you end up stripping it you'll get maybe $2,500 for the shell IF YOU'RE LUCKY!!
Why? Consider for a moment what the market is like. I know exactly what i'm saying because just sold a K-swapped coupe in Nov.2009. You have no idea how long the car sat (probably 7 months) before I dropped the price on the ground to sell it.
NO ONE, absolutely no one will make your asking price in the Honda world.
Secondly, once you get a couple of thousand bucks for your shell I think the most you will make out of your motor/turbo setup is $4,500 IF YOU'RE LUCKY!!!
Shell (2500) + Motor/turbo(4500) = $7,000
This is just what the market dictates
You'll waste tons of time stripping this car, and make half of $16,000. I'm sure you can find better things to do with your time
Drop the price to what the market is telling you, and this car will be gone SOON!
This "scene" is a hobby, not a way to make up your money...and by definition a hobby is what you enjoy doing, not something you primarily do for money.
