We need to see a pciture of the k24a piston inside an accord, element or CR-V.(any would do). If anyone has a picture we would appreciate it. The piston can stil be inside the block.. Just take a pic of the top of it.

Those valve reliefs are tiny....and the wrist is up pretty high.

they sure are!!!!!! Ive heard you cant run this block with a type s head on stock pistons.....the valves will hit the head...is that true...???????/

The CRV pistons are different than the Accord/Element pistons.

The CRV valve reliefs look small because of the dish top piston. If it was flat or popped up, it would not look so bad. CRV pistons won't hit if tuned correctly.

the Accord/Element pistons have a little pocket in the center like the EP and Base DC5 to concentrate the charge and help with emissions.

I have an engine builder I use and when he bolted a Type S head on an Accord/Element block the pistons interfered with the head and he was not able to turn the motor after it was torqued down.

yeah, they look like my old B20B pistons, but with no skirts

brian, by 'tuned correctly', are you referring to the VTC side of things?
