I started the car one day and thought it was idling a bit higher than normal,

Popped the bonnet and noticed a hissing sound, so i knew there was air escapping somewhere,

I traced it back to a broken t-piece that connects via a rubber pipe to the stock air intake,

So for the time beeing ive just tapped the rubber up and its seems to be fine,

But i woul like to replace it with a new one but have no idea what its called,

Pic bellow is it circled,

Also is it a nessicity to have to use this, im not running a stock air intake?

Its an idle air valve. It opens when its cold to allow more air for idle. It will close when the motor reaches normal temp.
