Just wondering if anybody with HR billet mounts for an EK had any problems like vibration while driving or upon starting the car??

I'm debating on whether or not I should buy the Hasport EKK2 mounts or the HR mounts.

Any thoughts guys?

Which version mounts are you referring to? The older all billet Hybrid mounts tend to have more vibration due to the smaller size bushing used. Our current version of mounts are more comfortable for street use.

It doesn't mater which mounts you go with.. They are both GREAT mounts... It just comes down to which brand you want..
Oh I don't doubt they are both good brands from what I've been reading and hearing. I just want solid mounts that won't cause vibration upon start or driving.

But something's telling that no matter which brand I go with, the vibration won't be eliminated completley, so I may have to suck it up.. i dunno.

Type one was saying that their current mounts are more comfortable for street, but what I want to know is, when these are installed properly would there still be slight vibration or none at all??

Thanks for the replies guys!!

Here are the bushing that the hasport mounts come with below.. It's your option to decide which one you want. Now I don't really know what bushing hybrid offers but it's should be the same...

62a street
70a race
88a extreme race
94a most extreme race

I have street and it still vibrates.. Every swap car I been in vibrates..
Yeah i guess as far as K-swaps go, but I've been in plenty of b-series cars and they feel like stock and no vibration

hybrid also makes mounts where you can use the eg/dc subframe their not on their website but you can ask for them when u call. i got them and i felt no change in vibrations, its just one of those things u have to deal with when u have a k20 swap.

lol vibration can be adjusted if you bring the idle up a tad. my k idles at 850 and i barely have vibration in the steering wheel. im assuming thats where you would really even care abot the vibration.

i hope you don't mind noise like you mind vibration cause the k likes to SCREAMMM lol if so then 2.5" with cat and oval muffler is what you want before you possibly ask. good luck with your swap

I don't want vibration in the steering wheel or the dash or anywhere. Just dont want vibration at all if possible. Im thinking of going with some softer bushings like 62a or 53a inserts which AVID may have... not sure though.

Its only vibration I'm anal about. I hate feeling it and I hate hearing it. Very minimal vibration is fine I can cope with that.

I will try to adjust the idle and play around with it, see what works best.

Thanks for the info!!

There is a lot of other ways to ease vibration, flex pipe in the exhaust, idle adjustment, rev a 'LIL higher when starting from a stop. Make sure your dash is not going to rattle by making sure all bolts are snugged down. No loose change in the glove box etc. I have soft bushings, 2.5 exhaust, and the vibration isn't a big deal. I just learned to give it a 'lil more rev when shifting.

Its when the car is at idle and I feel and hear the vibrations is what annoiys me. I don't really care if the car is in motion cuz I probably won't really notice it due to bumps in the road and road noise.
