I have a piece of paper that says "do not remove" that's from hondata. I guess I'll put a piece of rubber there too.chameleon said:litter check that you have a piece of tape on the bottom of the cover right over where the usb cables gets plugged in.
yea you should be ok in that department... they put those on the newer KPROs since people were having probelms.litterbox said:I have a piece of paper that says "do not remove" that's from hondata. I guess I'll put a piece of rubber there too.
Well the tuner connected fine. It might be my laptop. I have tried to reconnect since before tuning cause I'm working on other stuff.pb16b said:so did that piece of rubber work? or just getting a new usb cable work?

pb16b said:so is dell laptops the reason for this? because i can't get mine to stop going offline. i'd unplug the usb and plug it back in, i'd be online for a few seconds and it would fall offline again. both tries are with 2 different dells. maybe i'll try a sony and see if that works better.
Actually, you're wrong. I have had 3 Dell laptops and I tune a lot of K-series systems with no problems. I still currently use my Dell Inspiron 1100, and my Dell Inspiron 600m daily.bossman032 said:rofl. I told ya those dells suck. I would throw them away. As a matter of fact I threw my last dell away and spent like 1100 instead of 500 for a laptop (dell)!!!![]()

There were quite a few problems using non-ferrite shielded USB cables, so make sure you have a cable with the ferrite core on it..
locash said:Well, I dont toss my laptops around too much, but I have no problems with my $500 dells. They get used daily, they tune everything from Hondata, to Neptune, to AEM, to Zdyne, and do it without calling me names.
I have never needed their tech support, and until you can give me a better reason not to use them, other than "ask anyone who uses computers", I'll stick with them.
I can get a new Dell every six months for two years for the price of your 1 IBM.
Honestly though, its pointless to argue about it, I've been using Dell machines for 5 years now and have never had any problems, all of my home pc's are dells, every machine at Hasport is a Dell (with the exception being one mac), and they keep on ticking.
