I went to assemble my engine today all brand new parts eagle rods for the K24 part# crs5984k3d and CP pistons pt#sc70451

The wristpin bore is too small, by alot... from my understanding eagle rods are new to the k24 was there a bad batch out there i should know about?

has anyone had this type of problem with either brand?


im going to give them a call tomorrow.

you have to take them to a machine shop, my k24 Eagles were also too tight for the Wiseco pins.

did they just enlarge the bushing or remove the bushing enlarge the rod then put in a new bushing?

most after market pistons / rods need to be either re bushed, or pin fitted. its actually pretty normal.

basically, they are made to work with stock pistons.. aftermarket pistons are 22mm I believe.. stock is 21mm.. not sure, have to look up the numbers

Take them to a machine shop and have them honed for the 22mm wrist pin. It should not take them more than 15 min.

I called eagle they said there bore is so pose to be at .866 They told me to mic them see what they come out as. so i did they came out .865

Had the machine shop hone them out they fit fine now.

I am also having this problem, my CP piston's wrist pin is 0.0015" bigger than my small end bush. Can the bush itself be honed out to alow for this?? Or do i have to find some new bushes the right size?

yep just have the bushing honed out.

just tell your machine shop to pin fits all of them. they know what to do.

I think I paid like $20 to have the rod bushings honed to fit the Wiseco wrist pin... Any machine shop can do it...
