hey everybody i am new to the k series motor :0. i got a k24z1 motor and i was wondering which head would work better with this block. also which camshafts should i use. i was just wondering if its true that i can put a k20z1 complete rocker arm assembly into a k20a2 head?? thanks for your help

From what I gather, the newer "K24Z" blocks arent compatible with the older K series heads.

Yes, you can use the k20z1 rocker assembly on the k20a2.

the k24z1 is diff from the other k24z's you are thinking of. will just need to relocate oil filter or mod a half shaft to run it. k20z1 rocker assy. is exact same as k20a2 rocker assy. exact same head just little better cams op.

k20z1 runs the same cams as the k20a type-r. They are better than k20a2 cams.

so from that all threads i can use k20a/z head with k24z block if:
-i use timming chain cover form k24z
-k24z head gasket
-tsx/accord mid shaft
-k24z valve cover thats is taller, but what coils then ?
-weld crank sensor from k20/24a

that valve cover thing idk about. any k series valve cover should be fine. you can run a k24 crank sensor but will need to plice sensor connector on k20a harness(if thats harness you are using). i'm still not exactly what sure what half shaft to run on k24z1. i have heard you can run k20a but need to relocate oil filter b/c its current location on bottom of block gets in way of half shaft.

by k24z you mean k24z1 right? the 08^crv block can be used but the tsx k24z can not be used. yes reg k trans bolt up to k24z1 block

why cant a tsx 09+ block be used???

sorry i thought that they are simillar like k24a2/3 and k24a1/4, but if not i was thinking about k24z3 tsx
