If:

head1 = DOHC iVTEC (intake cam only)
head2 = DOHC iVTEC (both cams)
block1 = I4 1998cc, bore = 86mm x stroke = 86mm
block2 = I4 2354cc, bore = 87mm x stroke = 99mm

Then:

head1 + block1 = K20, 160hp, Civic Si, RXS
head1 + block2 = K24???, 160hp , Accord I4, CRV, Element
head2 + block1 = K20A2, 200hp, RSX-S
head2 + block2 = K24A2, 200hp, TSX

That's a good way to explain it, but before anyone thinks there are only a total of two heads and two blocks and you can mix and match them anyway you want...

Head 1 is actually either Head 1A, Head 1B or Head 1C
Head 2 is actually either Head 2A or 2B
Block 1 is actually 1A or 1B
Block 2 is actually 2A, 2B or 2C

And then there's JDM which adds Head 1D and 2C
and adds Block 1C

Certain heads won't work with certain blocks BTW.

Yes. but if I told you I'd have to kill you.

J/K we're still researching all the possibilities. I have two more engines I have to take apart and I can compile a list.

well all k-series parts do in a way bolt on but some parts wont work due to ecu program for example. u cant run a k20a2 with a k20a3 ecu
so if you really wanna know the better one
head2+block2 with a type-s ecu
youre gonna tear up some one street
and if you ever go boost
a crv block will handle the pressure unlike from rsx or ep3
