I am going to start building a shortblock as soon as I buy it here in about a week. I was wanting to know what compression would be the highest I could go with and still have a reliable daily driver? I was thinking about 12:1 for the highest to go. Now I know that high compression isnt needed to make good power all motor. I have seen plenty of people make 200whp+ on 11.5:1 compression b series motors. I want to run IPS cams or maybe something bigger so I would have to upgrade valvetrain, like some toda b's or crower stage 3's or whatever. What are some of your suggestions?

Something bigger would most definitely require more compression and displacement. Those two factors would negate your goal as a daily driver on pump gas. 12:1 is doable on 91 pump gas - 93 will only make it better.
