Of course you can retain it. Best thing to do, would be to drive the car with the stock suspension and take it from there depending on how it feels. The K20A is lighter than the B series engines by a few pounds. Around the internet you might read that it is 90 LBS lighter but that is not true... I think it is around 10-20 Lbs lighter.
Also since the motor is backwards compared to the B,D,H series engines, the weight distribution is better.
