aye bro. dont mean to thread jack but what is your redline in your car?non vtec said:I was talking to TWm the other day and they said that the 54mm wouldn't give the best response for the engine and that Skunk 2 was just moving up to a 54mm from the 52mm... I was recommended for the best gains to run the 52's.. So it looks like the 52mm ITB's will be making there way across to my car...
That's true in most cases, but when you have cams, taking the rpms up to 9k+ helps greatly.non vtec said:8800 I know a couple of people that go past that go past that, but personally I think 8800 is about far enough.. From my Knowledge most Hondas handle about 500rpm more than the given redline and still handle being daily driven... I also have a soft limiter in my car at 8600 so it stops any damage happening up the top end... Its mainly there as a shift point...
that would depend on the diameter of the itbs. itb's have better throttle response thenGoku said:on the power band, what would ITB give you the most ??
midrange , or top end ??
how about for road racing like a short track (similar to streets of willow)K2e2vin said:that would depend on the diameter of the itbs. itb's have better throttle response thenGoku said:on the power band, what would ITB give you the most ??

I have to ask what type of "road racing" you will be doing as I am not aware of any series that allows ITBs anyway. Neither Honda Challenge nor the new Honda Cup SCCA series will allow them...Goku said:how about for road racing like a short track (similar to streets of willow)K2e2vin said:that would depend on the diameter of the itbs. itb's have better throttle response thenGoku said:on the power band, what would ITB give you the most ??
