I searched and searched but have not found anyone that have my issue. I have an ek that already have the 4 lug disk brake on all corners. The rear trailing arm is from a 00 Si. The front have been converted with the ITR fork to use with a P/S ITR subframe for my swap. I just found a 96 ITR fronts which came with 4x114 hub. I know if I were to buy new hub and bearings from the usdm 5 lug, that I can press on and make the front work. Now the rear trailing arm, would I need to have the trailing arm of the ITR or I can just buy hub, bearings and keep the Si trailing arm? Any expert on this please help me out. Thanks in advance

You need the ITR rear spindeles at the minimum. the USDM and JDM ITR and CTR use the same rear spindle. they and longer since the TYPE R has a wider rear bearing in the hub. I have both the 4x114.3 and 5x114.3. I found my hubs and then rear spindles on forums. you just have to ask around or buy new USDM parts that are not cheap. I suggest you buy a complete 4x114.3 swap from Hmotorsonline.com.

some say you can fit the rear ITR hub on the non-ITR integra trailing arm spindle if you use an axle nut from a mazda 626, but there's no room for a washer and "if the bearing were to seize, the nut would just spin itself off and your wheel would come flying off"

cvic90 is right about the ITR spindles being longer. Some people have been using Mazda Protege axle nuts (same as 626 nuts mentioned above?) without the washer for a better fit using EG/EK/DC2(non Type R) spindles. This was in some H-T thread which I can't get to from work.

As for the fronts, I forgot the bearing diameters but if you got a DC2 Integra knucke (I believe they're all the same), then you can use the USDM ITR hub and bearings.

If you have JDM ITR knuckles (or 97-01 CRV knuckles like me) then 1st/2nd gen CRV, RSX, RSX-S hubs and bearings should work. If you have 32 mm axles, then use base RSX hubs. For more rotor selection, go with the 2nd gen CRV or RSX-S hubs as the 1st gen CRV has a bit more material (hub diameter is a bit bigger) causing some rotors (like the RSX-S rotor) to not fit.

So I would need to get the rear ITR trailing arm unless I use the mazada locking nut. Also I would need to get new hubs and bearings for the rear. The fronts I need to replace my hubs and bearings using my 4 lug ITR knuckles. Everything else should work then? I think if I were to buy all these new, it would cost me about the same as just getting the whole setup lol. Thanks for the advice, I will keep on searching for the 5 lug then.

someone please sticky a post with how to do a 5 lug on each honda chassis.

88-01 civics and interga's can all be converted to 5 lug.

FRONT
1.) complete usdm or jdm type r front spindles and hubs. jdm is 36mm axle perfect for k series with rsx-s axles. usdm itr is 32mm axles. either rsx base or ep3 axles. Or oem combo of rsx-s axles with b series outer cv joints.

2.) Crv front spindles. the b20 crv front spindles are same as itr. crv wheel hubs are 36mm axle. The outside diameter of the wheel hub is larger in diameter than rsx. Any wheel hub will press into the crv, rsx, wheel bearing.

3.) Just found out that accord front spindles, the ones with f22 and f23 engines as well as the 3.0 v6 also fit a civic.

REAR
1.) complete usdm or jdm itr rear trailing arms bolt right up.

2.) use the civic rear disk trailing arms and spindles with usdm or jdm rear wheel hubs using the mazda nut.

EP3
1.) use either rsx-s, rsx base, or dc5-r complete front spindles and rear trailing arm.

EM1
1.) Do the same as the ep3.

if anyone else wants to add go ahead. someone please sticky this like brake expert has the one for brakes.

here:

EM1 would be same as eg/dc/ek chassis. em2 is 01+ civic chassis.

Thought I'd add something to Slociviccoupe's info. The 97-01 CRV bearing shares the same dimensions as the RSX/RSX-S's and the 2nd gen CRV (not sure about 3rd gen CRV).

97-01 CRV knuckles are essentially the same as *JDM* ITR knuckles. All USDM ITR knuckles are the same as regular 3rd gen Integra (DC2) knuckles. I think my signature may have some incomplete link to some bearing info... Some higher end Civics like EX models may also use a similar hub to the Integra.

The RSX-S and 2nd gen CRV hub are the same and more rotors fit it. Consider a rotor with a smaller hat. The 1st gen CRV hubs are almost identical except the hub diameter and can be replaced by the RSX-S one to allow better rotor selection. I had a post somewhere with pics comparing the hubs... See post #13 here... http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=41300

97-01 crvspindles are the same as the jdm itr? so they are 36mm...

so you mean to say that other than the upper and lower control arm and shock/strut itself, 97-01 crv suspension swaps are the same as jdm itr?

i bet the SMX and step wagon are the same too then. couple little shitbox SUVs/vans you guys never got in the states. my GF has a stepwagon, it never dawned on me to just look at it while its sitting next to my civic in the driveway.

good to know. stepwagon are macpherson front ends so those are out. but, there is an EG SIR and a CRV at my favorite junkyard. ill get everything at once for probably 150 bucks. subframe, front LCA, 5 lug ect. lolol come to think of it, there is a JDM legend there too... i just wish i could have found a K24 locally.

what sucks is how many people pay soo much $$$$ for itr 5 lug. when crv front spindles are the same. yes they are 36mm. perfect for k swaps.
The only reason why ppl spend money is because they do not want to test other options out. I am more worried about the fact that things do not fit and have to keep buying parts to make it work. Now that more information are added, I think I am going to hit up the junkyard soon  Also I did my kswap with DSS axle, so I do not want to switch them out rather then try to look for the usdm itr or just buy the hub to match.

As for the calipers and rotors, they would work with the crv or vice verse where we can switch them over? The caliper brackets are the same?

Caliper brackets are interchangeable between most 5 lug fronts. And certain calipers match up to those brackets obviously. The brackets control 2 things. The maximum rotor thickness and the distance the caliper is positioned away. Usually this distance changes by roughly 10mm. For example, going from a 282mm (ITR) to 300mm (RSX-S) rotor, you just need to move the caliper out 9mm (10 is close enough).

Also, if you have the JDM ITR or CRV front knuckles, you can swap the hub out for the base RSX hub that takes 32mm axles. Compare the bearing part # on an Acura site between a base RSX and RSX-S. Should be the same, meaning either hub will fit, but just the spline is different.

which gives more axle choices. rsx-s hub is 36mm so rsx-s axles will work with your swap. or rsx base hubs will allow rsx base or rsx inners, avles, and b series outer cv joints.

ep3 wheel hubs also press into the bearing. they are the same as rsx base.

someone put all this info together and sticky. there is too much mismatched info on 5 lug conversions. we seem to be getting somewhere here.

Also in regards to the calipers, if we wanted to change to calipers to a spoon, or endless, or whichever it is, would we be purchasing calipers for the CRV or RSX? Or we can still purchase calipers for ITR?

would be purchasing calipers for either the rsx or the itr. as spoon or any other aftermarket company does not offer products for the crv.
but the calipers needs to be purchase for the knuckle correct? so if changed to ITR, we would need ITR calipers, and if it is RSX it would be RSX calipers....sorry for a noob question.

Depends on the size of the rotor. If rotor comes with the kit, you should be okay. ITR sized rotors will work with ITR brake kits. RSX-S sized rotors will work with RSX-S big brake kits.

If something is slightly off, you might be able to add spacers at the bracket mounting point or under the rotor's hat. But when you go 5 lug, most 5 lug stuff should interchange without probs. Especially when using the RSX-S hub. From what I know, the hub's position is the same relative to the bracket mounting points on most 5 lug Honda/Acura setups. DC5-R is an exception I know of.

I just wanted to mention that ITR 5x114 front hubs are +5mm wider than 94-01 GSR/LS 4x100 hubs - as are the rears. I think some didn't know the exact offset difference vs. the 4x100/114 hubs.

Also, I don' think this was mentioned, but when performing a poorman's 5 lug conversion to 4x100/114 integra rear trailing arm(s), you will need to run ITR/RSX/TSX/98+ Accord V6 (or CRV?) rear rotors (which are 1mm bigger diameter ie. 10.2" vs. 9.2") and ITR rear calipers (RSX/EP rear calipers will work too but e-brake line cable mounts funny).
