I got a 07 si with I/H/E and reflash. i want to do some stage 1 cams with no valvetrain needed and no tuning. Is there any cams out there for the z3? and anyone here tried it, thanks for the advance response.

tuning is key to making cams work right and right now there arent alot of options. We have Kpro working on a 07 si along with stage 2 skunk cams and I can tell you the k20z3 will make alot more power with cams and tuning. Our si started out at 178hp stock and we have got it up to 235hp with IHE cams and tuning. There are clips of the car on youtube.

how you make the kpro work?

The car has two ecus. The stock si ecu and a kpro ecu. We also changed the car from DBW to a cable TB.

Yeah I have seen the car before. Its just not practical for the bolt-on crowd. If my Si was my only car then I would remove the DBW. Its just a daily!!

i'm in the same boat, i have an 07 si and I'm planning to drop in DC5 ITR cams and complete valvetrain. sigh, so this means i'm pretty much going to have to wait? because I don't have the money to simply "swap out my DWB" tranny =/

Dumb question, but, does this mean it's impossible to have this setup tuned to my stock ecu?

Thats the way it seems unless you drive to handata and see if they can do a custom reflash if thats possible?

hmm i actually didn't think of that... though I doubt they'll have a solution for me.

either way, wouldn't there be problems with no tuning programs available because it's a z3 motor vs k20a?

you will still make power... or you can buy a Spoon ECU?

I thought type r cams won't fit because the head is diff to begin with?

you can run skunk2 stage 1 cams no problem, TSX cams No problem, Hytech sells stage 1 cams, and a special reflash that will work with or without pistons.
