im about to order a 2004 ITR ecu. can i use a 04 ecu on a 05 motor with 05 motor harness? what can i do make the 2005 motor work with a 2004 type R ecu, or can i get k-pro without giving an ecu cause i didnt get one with the motor. any help please need car running.

05 harness pinouts are different.Ecu will plug in,but wire locations are way different.You will either have to buy an adaptor harness,modify the 05 harness or buy a 02-4 harness from the dealer for a little over $200.

cool so all i have to do to get the 2005 motor working is to put a 2004 harness on it and use a 2004 ecu, correct? every thing plug and play?

Never had a '05 engine or harness...dont know if the plugs at the engine are any different.
If you have both harness,you will be able to use the 2004 harness,and swap any plugs from the '05 harness onto the '04 harness that may be different.
