Before I found this taffeta I had bought a crashed fg2 for 2k
I did not know basically only the stripped long block and trans would be useful with a vss adapter

but comes with rbc manifold and short geared lsd trans. This donor had relatively low miles

Swap out and siting next to this vsm that I bought for $1000 but was Hondamatic and in very bad shape overall….sold when I found The taffeta on FB market place.

My first K swap and it was a fun journey through out it all, the car is sold now btw I have commitment issues
Oh sorry to read it was sold. What do you mean by "commitment issues"? Did you commit to something here?

don’t be sorry I took the big offer and ran, working on a k24 EG now but more on that later.

Swap is in, using base 32mm axles fitting perfectly with the forks flipped
Fast forward here 😆. Very nice fit in of that engine. I like that. You mean you took the OEM axles?

Went to JCCS 2021 and stopped at Art Of Attack for some parts and they sold me this hybrid shifter for a great deal

decided to run the fg2 donor car full size radiator since I already had + Arizona summer in mind

switched to ktuned 70mm tb and ran some hybrid z3 hoses

No point in the 70mm TB if the manifold is not matching so decided to try my hand…errr I mean drill at porting

I believe the best butt dyno running map was the k20a2 stock tuned basemap

Stretched the cable that catches all the “lower gears” so bad I only had 1st 3rd and 5th lol that was fun driving around 🤦🏽‍♂️

How did lambda came out at WOT? What else did you tune? Seems everything run done like oil, smooth and very successfully. Are you a mechanic with engineering in the background or an engineer with mechanic in background?

I saw behind your laptop screen a nice comic picture, do you draw those or is it just a bought comic?

It is indeed. There are a few other engine platforms which I would be interested or I have worked on. The K-series is still the most attractive in the 2,0-Liter FWD-area. I had developed, built and tuned a 207 ftlb, 310 hp 2-Liter NA engine, actually it's successor is specified for 200+ ftlb/360 hp (2-Liter-NA). Which other platform is capable for this? I enjoy that learning on the K-series engine very much.
