I planning to remove the center layer for k24/20 engine project....

I just received it and I'm not sur I can do it for now....


Its seen the head combustion chambers gonna have more collant than Honda expect the gasket for ...


Check the small hole in the sleeve jacket hole


What to do think about it ????.... If I remove the center layer ?

I wouldnt recommend the removal of the inner layer. You will not raise the CR much at all, and cause some tuning/sealing/cooling issues. If you wanted a thinner headgasket then you should have purchased a Cometic head gasket of the correct thickness in the first place.

The inner layer controls the direction and flow of coolant thru the block and into the head as well as provide a sealing surface for the bottom and top layer(they dont seal well to each other).
