we all know the ground clearance woes...

I'm planning on running a 16x7.5 +32 offset Kosei k1 race wheel on my 1992 civic CX hatchback...

Fairly wider/pokes out more than stock.

I know the safe route is a 205/40-16 but I'd really like to get some more meat on there/taller tire and run a 215/45-16 tire.

(I did see a 16x7 43 offset rpf1 on an EG with the 215/45-16's and I loved the look)

With that being said, am I looking at a huge fender roll/neg camber dilemma here? If so I'll go with the smaller ones.

Chime in please, it'd be appreciated!

I'm running 15x8 +35's with a 195/55/15 Lowered on Koni/Ground control and I don't rub at all unless it's a full-lock turn to the right. Mildly rolled fenders, -2.5 Front Camber(no camber kits) and -1.5 Rear camber(again, no camber kits) - I think you could fit the 215/45/16 in there with some decent rolling without even touching camber if you're low enough. This is what my 15x8 +35's look like on the car.

And, from above

Hope that helps.

hmnn, I really cant be crazy low with the K swap as it is, a good drop flush with the tire/tucking a tiny bit of tire is what I'm going for...

I just calculated the 15x8+35 with the 195/55-15's in comparison to 16x7.5+32 with the 215/45/15 and the 16's stick out .4" inches more towards the fenders...

I dont know if thats gonna make it...

Depends on the maker of the tire, I've seen two tires of the same sizes manufactured by different companies be as much as 3/4" different in all aspects of measurment minus rim size. All Depends on the molds used, I work for one of the larger tire installers in the US so I know tires pretty well. I'd still bet on the 215/45/16's being doable with a good fender roll.

Buy em and try it out, worst thing You'd have to do is a more aggressive roll. If you're barely tucking tire you'd have -2.5 to -3 Front camber and around -1 to -1.75 in the rear. I have enough room to run up to a 215/50 on this car I'd just need a more aggressive roll of the fenders. The setup you're proposing isn't so crazy that it will never fit, you can make that fit with minimal work and that's the best way to get the flush/aggressive stance. Fit the car to the wheels/tires.
