Im putting an 06 tsx motor in my 02 rsx type-s and can't find any info about if you can use this manifold w/ my type-s throttle body. I know it will work with the 04-05 tsx manifold w/ the karcepts adapter plate but need to know if it will work on the 06-08 manifold? Somebody please help!!

no it will not work. It will bolt up, but an 06+ TSX mani does not have the idle porting for the IACV like the 04-05 TSX mani does

I'm in the same boat as you man. I'm trying to get this to work. I just emailed Karcepts to see if they would make an ADAPTER for a 2006 tsx manifold that would work with the rsx Iacv. If you look at the pic closely you can see the problem. I rather use this manifold with my k24 that use the Rbc...

Pretty sure that's how a lot of people have been doing it. Maybe no one's gotten it to work though?!

You can also disable IACV through kpro if all else fails....or just buy the mani from an 05 or older TSX. They're pretty cheap especially since you can reuse the injector base.

Just need a aluminum tig welder to make it work .. I don't think its nothing hard to figure out...

I guess we're just ahead of the curve lol:p

I think the best solution for people with 06+ TSX motors would be to buy the lower half of the IM from an 04-05 TSX. It should bolt up to the 06+ injector base part of the manifold right? I found an 04 lower IM in Canada (which is usually alot more expensive) for $50

I got mine working great.

Things used:
Cereal Box for gasket material
High temp gasket maker to smear over cereal box material
Dremel
Time and patience

Used a dremel to round or bore out the lower part of the hole on the intake manifold. Even after doing this the hole on the adapter plate for the IACV still did not line up 'enough'. Then I rounded out part of the adapter hole so that air can rush upwards into the new opening on the intake manifold. Lastly, I made my own gasket so that it can act as a seal to block off the remaining opening in the adapter hole (due to the 06 manifold not having material there). If you don't do this you will have a big vacuum leak. Hope this makes sense. I didn't know if this would work so I didn't snap pics.

BTW, before this I had tried disabling the IACV through KPro and it did not help but thanks to all who suggested to try it.

Sorry to bring this back, has anyone found a solution to running 06+ manifolds with rsx-s TB? I'm in the same situation and cant seem to find a solution in which does not involve me making some kind of block off plate from scratch..

Three solutions from least work to most work:

1.) Buy 04-05 TSX Manifold

2.) Disable IACV function in KPro and adjust idle mechanically at the throttle body

Refer to step 4 of this to do so http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=68845&highlight=iacv+karcepts

3.) Create an opening at the 06 TSX manifold inlet for IACV. Which is hard because there is not a lot of material.

4.) block off the rear of the plate and done (like pp's 6th pic). i ghetto fabbed mine and it works fine so far. i simply blocked off the rear opening of the adaptor that overhangs with a small piece of aluminum and then mounted the tb.

So you got it to work by doing what you said above? You just welded the port on the adaptor shut? Partway shut?

Do you have pics of it finished?

Thanks man
Nah I didn't bother to do it yet. Need to find someone to weld it. For now i'm just running the rbc until i finish this..

From the ded. Did anyone find a more practical solution to this issue? And for those who rigged it, how is it holding up? LMK Thnks Guys. I was on the verge of purchasing the 04-05 manifold, but I figure why not mod? I would save much more by modding, and additionally the 06-08 intake piping increased in diameter from 70 to 80mm so that should make a significant difference. Enough to keep the 06-08 mani. Sucks I just sold my 05 TSX. Should have kept that mani haha

Mine held up great right up to the point I took it off to supercharge the engine.

Tis has been solved! Just to make it official. 6SPD_EK told me about this new adapter from Karcepts. I spoke with them and they said they have yet to advertise that it actually has the provision for the 06+TSX Manifold! Here's the pic that 6SPD_EK posted in a similar thread. It's upside down of course haha
