Hey guys, Will asked me to throw up a post about the chain tensioner we're working on. I'm going to put up one of my older blog posts for now, so you understand some of the stuff I post up later. In the next few days I'll put up another lengthy post that actually covers the design process of our new tensioner along with some pics of the prototypes we're testing.
I know this was posted in another thread already; I'm just trying to condense all of the info related to our tensioner design into one thread.
Here is a video of the Hybrid Racing tensioner revving out to 10,200 rpm! The HR cables are installed on this chassis as well! Here is what he had to say about them: "The shifter cables...WOW...these things are AWESOME!! The car has never shifted nicer than this!"
The mfg making the ratcheting teeth for the tensioners heat treated the parts improperly, so they had to be remade. Assembly we likely be able to begin towards the end of next week.
Sure, we got a few samples in from our MFG's and everything looks wonderful. The balance of the parts will be arriving early this week. Everything should ship by the end of the week.
how would cryo'ing while the piston was extended make any difference vs cryo'ing with it recessed?
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
