Default K20z3 engine but need a trans ..what fits ?

So i bought a k20z3 engine for my ek swap.ii was foolishly under the impression that i could buy any kseries trans and bolt them together.i thoughr i was gona be ahead of the game and get a k20a2 trans or even ep3 and thus avoid the speed sensor issue witha a k20z3 trans.
Iv done a bunch of searching to no sure answers .
What transmissions will bolt right up to my k20z3 ? If any thank you in advance guys.

First off, yes, the K20a2 or K20a3 transmission will bolt up to the K20z3

Second, what makes you doubt that they’d work together?

All of my searches have been vague n shown that the z3 has a different case and a z3 a k24 trans may bolt together as they are same case .im new to these and just need a (100%) answer so i can buy a trans .z3 trans seem to be double r triple the a2 price and very hard to find

Oh no man you’re good. Definitely didn’t mean anything by it.

But yeah you shouldn’t have any issues it’s no different than bolting a K20A2 trans to a K24a2 motor. People are even using s1 AWD kits and bolting Element/CRV AWD transmissions to their K20 or K24 motors.

No problem. This site has been a bit of a ghost town in the last few years, but there’s not only a lot of information in build threads and stickies, there’s people who are willing to chime in too. Any questions you may have, just post it up!
