Default Ttic.ru 1.0 -

Plus all of the parts that I would need to repair my transmission that I have now would be around the same of just getting a low mileage tranny. IMO

Remember not everyone can take apart an engine or transmission and immediately understand how it works, and not everyone may have had someone to show them how to work on cars, and how they work, etc.. I'm just figuring this stuff out as I go along.

Just try to think of things in a different perspective.

Thanks,

The first thing I did was invest in a service manual. Just swapping an engine is easy. For the K24A2, you could pretty much drop right in after picking up a CRV side mount. You just need an engine hoist and maybe an extra hand or two your first time. You only need to swap 2 sensors on the TSX engine if I recall. The knock sensor and crank position sensor. Everything goes in the same way it came out. There's a possibility of mixing the TPS sensor with something else but you'll usually figure it out if the other connector didn't reach.

I had never done an engine swap before. My Del Sol was to be my first when my RSX blew up. And didn't want to pay someone to do it so I learned. I trust myself over a trained mechanic because generally, they don't give a $hit if they f!ck up.
