Default K-series trans Gear X 1st and 2nd

HI,

Im wondering if anybody used a set of Gear X close ratio 1st and 2nd gear set?
if so how did you like it, and any faster at the track with them?

I'm trying to buy a set but dont know if its gonna be worth it

The trans i have is a type s with mfactory LSD w/ 4.3fd and all oem gearing,
I was thinking about putting in 4.7fd with 2.31 1st/ 1.65 2nd from gear X.

turbo application right?

2.31 ratio in first gear in a allmotor car will be too long for a lot of build.

too long for turbo as well. makes no sense.

It's for a allmotor k24k20 pushing 281whp, the Marquis from KMOD performance uses this on the all motor rsx?

Fastest all motor street class cars = 2.8 first gear with 4.7

Prayoonto 8.4 sec sfwd 1200 hp cars run 2.6 with 4.7


We tried a 2.6 obx 1st on a 330whp eg and it was a disaster.


Marquis' car fell on its face and did a 1.76 60 in that video..

Ok, understandable, but if that's the case than who makes an ideal gear set for an allmotor application at a reasonable price?

Or oem with 4.7fd is good enough

Oem with 4.7 or ppg dog box. No inbetween grey area imo.

What about a 500hp turbo car? Gear-x looks like the only thing in between oem and dogbox that's worth trying.

Actually Silver Bullet is right! There is no better "Bang for the Buck" than either our GEAR-X Drag I or Drag II Gear Sets.
If your all motor cant pull a 2.31 1st gear and a 4.058 Final Drive, I'd be looking for a better engine builder!

Dumbest post ever.

2.31 and 4.0?

My all motor makes 435 whp and hooks with 2.8 and 4.76. You are so off its hard to even respond. And my engine builder has every all motor world record that means anything. So who would I go to?

I recently installed the Gear-x gears with the 4.0 final drive. I'll post up some 60' times once I hit the track. Next track day is early September.
