Just b/c you have 4 posts, I'm gonna take a guess that you don't know who Nikos is. That's the user name "Nikos" of the owner of the forumn, Niko. aka. DA Man! But I'd say he can definetely give a weight. GL.

ask Nikos, he has sold a couple motors and should be able to help you out on this one...

Or try calling Import Auto Salvage, they are a site sponser and can be found in the marketplace...

P.S. Good Find If there were 2, well nevermind...

I am currently in Kuwait working for my fathers transporation and security company. Just out of curiosity I decided to browse the salvage yards to see what they had. To my amazement there are at least 500 independant salvage yards, and they are all side by side, LoL. Each one specializes in certain brands, but every particular brand is grouped together.

So I start looking at the Honda yards grouped together. If you are a D series person you will love Kuwait. Twin cam ZC'c to Single cam ZC's, D15B VTEC's to to D16Z6's. I found only one VTEC B series, a B16A. It was a 92 coupled to an Auto transmission. They only wanted $376 for the long block, and I didn't even try to haggle on the price. I moved on continuing to the next and the next. I found a handfull of H22A swaps, and one of them was complete with everything for only $1200. You all know what i was really looking for, K motors! I ran across some K24's and K20's, the usual CRV and accord varieties. But since the Euro Type R is sold here this was what i was looking for.

I finally decided to stop looking and start asking (when you ask they tend to jack up the price). When I said Type R to the arabic only speaking man he said, "come come." He took me back to a special area and and took off the cover concealing a wrecked Euro R. So i ask "how much" and he throws out a figure over $6000. Simply because you are an american, retailers will jack the price 10 fold. I talked the guy down to $1,880. I get the full swap, the Shift nob, and the gauge cluster too.

Now my dilema. I have found a couple of freight forwarders here for shipping estimates, but they all need shipping weight and dimensions. I emailed Hmotors, and asked a few others, but none seem to be willing to fork over the information. Is there anyone on this board that can give me exact dimensions and exact weight? I can't use "well its only 20lbs heavier then X swap," or "i think it's about 500 lbs." I need something concrete outside of weighing the thing myself. If anyone has any clue as to what im looking to pay to have this thing shipped to phoenix az, or orlando florida, this will help too.

Thanks to all who reply.

PS, if there are any NISSAN, and Subaru fans out there, there were a lot of SR20VE's, SR20DET's(bluebird), and a lot of EJ20's.
