Nice I always like the idea of a mr-s with a k swap, kinda like a baby lotus.
Mid rear k-series got to be fun to drive.

the older body styles have smaller engine bays. the MRS has basically a clam shell rear the sw20 mr2 has a trunk.

I want to do the same with my MR-S. I need the K20 Transmission Mount kit and does anybody know where to get the kit below?...

http://www.madwhips.com/akd-abflug-mrx-spider/

also trying to put a 13B Turbo Rotary engine on it... It's been done before on a Civic but not on an MR-S.

That car has the factory motor in it.

Halfway is the company in Japan that does the swaps. Their site is currently down.

Here are a couple of their cars from TAS'10

I'm putting a k24 I'm my mr-s...I Think I'm going to have intake manifold clearance issue with the rbc manifold but it not going to be like half way mrs..that car still have a/c and it useing stock ecu to control certain sensor... I'm going to do without a/c and do straight k pro ecu

Are you going to use an AiM cluster? I do not think that the factory cluster will work with the K-pro ecu.

Found a better MR-S Body Kit for the project...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=P-PQkS4LKWc

Bit expensive..:

Looks like a mix between the new Lotus and the Porsche GT... Trying to find a better price.

The kit you want is the GT300 TRD widebody. The body panels on that car unbolt, just as the NSX panels do. The TRD widebody is full carbon, it drops the weight substantially.

Actually, a widebody increases the weight of the car regardless of the material. Trd offered a widebody as an option for other markets, but when the car was discontinued in 2007 all trd support soon followed. The trd kit was never carbon and wasn't much wider than stock. The gt300 kits were fiberglass and had a few variations depending on the current use of the car for super gt. The lastest being the reckless.

http://www.livauto.net/shop/category.php?id_category=18 this guy sells the parts he developed to fit his k20 swap in the mrs.

I have finally decided to go the cheaper route and swap a k series in my spyder. Getting tired of replacing zz engines...

Maybe the replicas do, but the Varis carbon and Mono Craft GT300 wide bodies are lighter than the OEM from what I have been told by people that have them.

The Stock 2001 MR-S weights 2080lbs. Having a K20a Turbo Under the hood, capable of 700hp or more, I will like to add more weight on it with more agressive brakes, suspension, wheels and looks.

Definitely K20a Turbo, with the kit below... for Ferrari Lovers..

Even better with the 719WHP K20a Turbo setup below...
