wassup folks..
As u all know... i had a setup a while back.. in k24a2/k20head in a ek hatch (Sold now) >> made 250hp to the wheel.

i been out of the game for a while..and i want to know if anyone is making more on a Stock k24a2 block with a k20 head these days..(has to be stock Block) > List other mods...cam's,intake,porting....etc..

I believe that Yosolo's man Orlando is making 263whp & 188trq...and that was with a simple oil change....and before the oil change car was making 253whp and 185trq

Whats the train crash. Im guessin hypothetically tsx's were getting transported and a train crashed.. lol Thats just my hypothesis on the meaning.

And man those are good numbers. Will a K24A1 w/ a K20A2 head be on par with that car in the video with equal mods..

no do to comp,the comp on the k24a1 is lower than the one on k24a2
yes the TSXs where getting trasported in a train dont remember what year it was but therwas a guy her selling then on this site.

Heres a completely stock k24a2, not really pushed to the limits at all.

Stock head/block
Stock VTC 25*
RBC
DTR 4-2-1
EP3 throttle body w/ karcepts CAI
Custom 3inch exhaust by ASP
Kpro tuned by Stefan from ASP
92 octane
Rev limiter was set at 8k
tuned on a dynojet

I am fine at 8000 rpm with stock tsx pump

put down 211hp and 165 trap speeds of 105-106 1/4mile in integra

tsx with bolt on no tuning just base line pulls. vtc,rbc,retard crew header, lower curve one is mine. the other one is a built motor don't ask me for specs I have no clue..:p

bossman do you know when the k24a2 pump starts to cavitate. what's it rpm limit. similar to knowing that the type S oil pump is good up until 8500~8600 rpm.
I have no idea what ur are talking about. I have had no problems at 8000rpm. I am not sure if it can handle 8600 or anything above 8k. :silly:

Why do some folks replace the k24a2 head and put a K20 head on the K24a2 block. Isn't the K24a2's head just as good (flow and power wise) as the K20 head?

I think that they were using CRV block and k20 head... TSX motors are now easier to find. Well thats what I think.

All my k24 builds have been made from complete TSX motor with success.

it does have to do with kpro...
what i was trying to say was... people were using k24 bottoms and k20 heads, because they wanted the extra torque... also, with the k20 head, you can use Kpro to tune it. as for myself, i have a TSX, and there was one point when kpro wasnt available for my car. not it is. so people who had TSX's would swap the stock head for a k20a2 head so they could use kpro... but doing so wou would lose the gauges. so NOW there is the Kpro dual ECU for the TSX's... yes K20 and k24 head are the same, but the k20 head would have to be machines so that the k24 pistons could function with the k20 head as the dome of it is smaller compared to the k24 head
i have a friend that has a tsx. swapped out to a rbc manifold. still has the stock k24a2 head in there and uses the single k-pro since day one. so? what is your point? you don't have to machine anything. a k24a2 head will work on a k20a2 block. smaller ports and the water port is different, that can be fixed.

the K24a2 oil pump really isnt that good past 6800/7000 rpm
so if you are building a K24 motor, a K20 oil pump is better for higher RPM[/QUOTE]


If you dont know what your talking about please don't reply to Q's makes no sense why Honda would put a pump not good past 6800 rpm with stock redline above 7000rpm.

These TSX motors are not in TSX bodies most of them. They are motors in EG,DC,s and EKs.

This is where all the confusion is and DAslowestCL9 doesn't know too much so don't listen.

Yosolo great tuning as always man and what stage Rcrew cams are you guys running also i guess with the K20a2 heads you guys are running more than 25* VTC.
